Small trees; branchlets glabrous.
Leaves thickly coriaceous, elliptic-oblong, 7.5–18 cm long, 3.7–8.7 cm wide, acuminate or short cuspidate at apex, cuneate at base, glabrous, entire, lateral veins 5–9 pairs; petioles ca. 1 cm long, glabrous.
Inflorescence short thyrsoid, axillary and/or terminal, glabrous, rachis 2–4 cm long. Flower pedicels ca. 0.5 mm long; calyx ca. 1 mm long, puberulent, lobes ca. 0.6 mm long, triangular, subacute at apex, minutely ciliate at margin; corolla of 4 nearly free lobes, lobes oblong, rather thick, ca. 2.4 mm long, 0.8 mm wide; stamens ca. 1.2 mm long, glabrous, filaments very short, ca. one third as long as stamens, anthers elliptic-oblong; ovary globose, glabrous, 1 mm long, style 0.3 mm long.
Fruit ellipsoid, ca. 2.2 cm long, ca. 1.6 cm across.
